Martin visited the Parent to Parent team at Bunnings
Following the Christchurch massacre, Martin visited Hamilton’s mosque and saw the hundreds of floral tributes delivered there to show support to the city’s Muslim community.
John and Dorothy Wakeling have spent countless hours creating and maintaining the Waitakaruru Arboretum and Sculpture Park. Situated in a disused quarry near the small village of Tauwhare, the project to rehabilitate the site was initiated in 1991. Martin caught up with couple who gave him a tour of the site.

Martin was a guest speaker at the Fourth Race Relations Day Multicultural Festival, hosted by the Federation of Chinese Associations of NZ in Auckland.
On March 30, Martin headed along to the Hamilton Chinese Sports Day at Porritt Stadium, hosted by the Rainbow Chinese Community Centre Charitable Trust.
Martin dropped in to the Cancer Society’s fundraiser, Relay for Life, at Claudelands on March 30 where he caught up with friend Manjeet Singh (centre).
